At the Oxford Arms we will be holding several Beef Festivals throughout the year each consisting of between four and ten excellent locally sourced real ales plus a couple of local ciders and all at reasonable prices.  So why not drop in and enjoy a sample or two.  I'm sure there is a date to suit.

Speed Shearing at The Oxford Arms Friday 18th August 2017
Speed Shearing at The Oxford Arms
Friday 18th August 2017
The annual Speed Shearing competition will be the 6th to be held at our pub as is (as far as we know) the only one to be held on a stage inside a pub, with all the proceeds going to the West Midlands Air Ambulance.
The event consists of four classes, Juniors, Intermediate, Senior and Open with prizes down to fourth place.  There is also a Raffle Draw on the night and of course none of this could happen without the generous sponsorship and donations from the local businesses in our area.
The fun commences a 7pm and is obviously live to watch in the side of the event and then video fed through to the bar.
It really has become something of an event and is very well supported by competitors and spectators alike.  So why not come along and see for yourselves.  You will be talking about it for weeks to come.
